DRAGON DREAMING Training Course

10 DAYS TO DREAM IN SLOVENIAN PARADISE

Between March 10th and 19th 2025, 26 project leaders from across Europe (Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Spain) gathered in the magnificent Sunny Hill eco-site, located in the municipality of Topolovec, to dream of a better world.

Led by Petra Jazbec and Jošt Kozelj, participants had the opportunity to discover the Dragon Dreaming method, a project management tool that uses the senses and the body to help everyone develop their projects. Andreas, 36 from Romania, explains to us why he took part in this training: “I came to the course to learn about a tool to help with project management in our NGO După Gard – what I got was a holistic approach for communal dreaming, planning, doing and celebrating. An experience valuable both for my professional, and my personal future.”

In the kitchen, Sarah Turrin prepared delicious vegetarian meals for the team, made with local products. Additionally, Manja Vrenko, the wonderful host and co-founder of Sunny Hill, gave a warm welcome to all the participants of this training.

In a heavenly setting, perched atop a hill overlooking the Slovenian coast and offering magnificent sunsets, this educational bubble made all the participants dream, all committed to contributing to a better world, centered around reconnecting with nature, in a more sustainable society based on mutual aid; 10 dream days to contribute to the ecological revolution.

This Erasmus+ project took place as part of the Erasmus+ program, funded by the European Union, which allows all Europeans to have enriching experiences abroad, and to participate in training programs as part of non-formal education.

If you want to take a look at how we spent these days day by day, as well as dive into the practices we explored, here’s a glimpse into our journey. Through a mix of experiential learning, group reflection, theory sessions, and hands-on activities, we engaged deeply with the Dragon Dreaming methodology, explored tools for co-creating regenerative projects, and built connections rooted in trust, creativity, and shared vision.

Each day unfolded with intention—starting with grounding check-ins and ending in collective reflection—while weaving in essential themes like dreaming, goal-setting, planning, commitment, and celebration. Meals were shared moments of care, and the atmosphere invited both individual growth and collective insight. This experience was not just about learning, but about embodying the kind of world we want to create together.

“Dragon Dreaming is a beautiful method, in sync with nature’s cycles and seasons. I feel privileged to be able to learn this in such an amazing environment with awesome people – I can’t wait to put it into practice in my daily life and at my work with different projects and teams.”
