Youth Exchange in ZEGG ecovillage – Germany
This EU-funded (ERASMUS+) youth exchange took place for the second time in the ecovillage ZEGG in Bad Belzig.
34 young adults from Italy, France, Germany and Spain met from 23rd of August to 2nd of September to network and jointly research topics such as sustainability, alternative lifestyles and community building.
The aim of the youth exchange was to enable young people to express themselves openly and transparently, to reconnect with their inner voice, to trust their intuition and to contribute together to building a peaceful and non-violent culture. One of the key questions was: What creates trust? With the guiding principle “Follow your inner voice” we dealt intensively with topics such as social conditioning, authenticity and self-responsibility. Awareness was also created in taboo topics such as money, power, love and sexuality.
Within 11 days we created together a group field of trust, transparency and openness in which we could show ourselves without being afraid of being hurt and seeing others in their depth. We also learned to support each other, to give and receive feedback. This experience has shown us that it is possible to live together in love, cooperation and respect, no matter how different we are.
