We just came back from a enriching and effective weekend in Hallingelille Community in Denmark. For 3 days, a total of 10 youth leaders from the different sending organisations came together to plan and coordinate the first Youth Exchange of the YES to Sustainability Project that will take place from the 2th to the 14th of May.
It was a beautiful weekend, where we had the time to get to know each other more as well as to organize ourselves in different teams and design the program. We got more familiar with the place and met different community members that will support us in May.
During the 12 days of the exchange, we will work together making a spiral garden, building a compost toilet and outdoor furniture among other tasks. In the afternoons, we will share our dreams, projects and skills and have time to explore together what are our challenges as young people living in this world. We will visit different projects that are working with refugees and explore how ecovillages can influence and have positive effect in their situation.
